Stuffed Animal Sale
By Alex Lenser
At first we barely had any stuffed animals for the sale.
However, on the final day before the sale, there were so
many donations! We had so many animals – over 12 tables
piled high with stuffed animals. We had to pile them on
top of each other. There were Beanie Babies, Webkinz,
dolls, and every animal imaginable. It took so long to
fill the tables up with all of the animals. Once the
sale was over, only half of the stuffed animals were
gone. So we had a lot to pick up and save for next year.
We made $253.25 to give to the poor. Thank you everyone
who donated or bought stuffed animals.
An Easter Tragedy
By: Hailey Jensen
As many of you know recently Mrs. Sherrill Ruda's husband and
mother have past. They were going to their daughter’s
house for Easter, but something brutishly horrible
happened a driver hit the left side of the vehicle. The
driver must have grief for the horrible tragedy of
Easter Sunday. The funeral was on Friday, April 13,
2012, Sherrill has two broken ribs and a crushed arm.
Sherrill and Fred brought great joy to so many. The
sorrow, grief, sadness, compassion, is how many felt
when they heard about this sorrowful accident. All we
can do is pray for them. Sherrill is a perfect example
of the perfect catholic!!!!
New Gym!!!
By: Tabitha Brandel
Excitement is spreading through Holy Family! What used to be a beautiful church has gone from an auditorium to a new gym. Months of waiting will soon be rewarded once the floor has been sanded and bleachers have been put in. We cannot thank Jerald Pfeiffer and his crew enough for the work and time they put into building this fantastic, new gym. What will it be used for? Most of you have heard about the new middle school that will open next year. The Junior High Monarchs will play plenty of games in the new gym to keep it busy. It will also be used for indoor recesses, P.E. classes, and performances. The gym is scheduled to be completed in time for Famous Figures and the K-3rd grade spring concert. While its atmosphere will be completely different from the church, it will be greatly appreciated. So guess what? Holy Family, you just got one more thing to be proud of.
Miss Helget
Miss Helget’s 3A class presented an animal fashion show to the Kindergarten classes called Why I Wear It. The “animals” talked about the traits that make them special and how those traits help them in the wild (click on the photo to see a larger image). With lions, flying squirrels, a polar bear, chameleons, toucans, octopus, sea otters, and sloths, it was a ‘roaring’ good time!
