Building Committee Update
Building and Space Committee: Paul
Wertenberger Contruction (PWC) received the bid on the
project and started work December 19. PWC has removed
the doors and built the west wall to close in the
openings.
The music classroom side has been sheet rocked and one
coat of plaster applied.
The limestone wall has been removed.
PWC has also started to construct the wall
between the classroom and the entryway.
They are waiting to hear from the structural
engineer regarding the header beam where the inside door
will be installed.
RDH electric has replaced the
breaker panel and removed the fans.
They have also
removed some of the recessed lights.
During the Christmas break, parent volunteers did
a lot of demo work over four work nights. We removed the
raised floor and the brick walls at the East end of the
auditorium and started closing in some of the holes in
the ceiling where the recessed lights were located.
We are grateful to everyone who
helped - Roy Inlow, Mike Lane, Darin Werth, Fr. Kevin,
Stephen Brummer, Stan Mayers, Craig Karlin, Karen Bieker,
Michelle Schlyer, Matt Allen, and Gary Aufdemberge.
We will have more opportunities and
be scheduling more work nights in the near future. Watch
your email for updates.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
Please contact us with any questions. We appreciate your
support!
