Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program at HFE
The entire staff at Holy Family Elementary has been trained in the the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. There are only two schools in Hays and in Kansas participating in this program.- Goal is to create a caring community: "We want kids to stand up and get involved."
- All staff and students involved
- Seeking parent support
- Development of school wide rules against bullying
- Development of a coordinated system of supervision
- Regular classroom meetings about bullying and peer relations
- Individual meeting with children who bully
- Individual meeting with children who are targets of bullying
School Rules Against Bullying
- We will not bully others.
- We will try to help students who are bullied.
- We will make it a point to include students who are easily left out.
- When we know somebody is being bullied, we will tell and adult at school and an adult at home.
