Title: Stocking Hats Received!!!

Holy Family received a surprise package containing 48 handmade stocking hats.  The wonderful package came from Ben and Rose McIntyre from Pharr, TX. 

Rose wrote:

We know that you will find good use of these hats.  They were made by my husband who is 92 years young.  It has been a wonderful pass-time for him.  Let the children enjoy them and keep them warm.

We live in an RV Park and he would sit in our driveway working on them. Many women would stop and drop off yarn for him that they had hidden in a closet.  That is why so many pretty colors.

Teachers in grades K – 5 each drew 1 boys and 1 girls name to receive the hats. The students then went to the office to draw a hat out of a sack.  They were all so beautiful it would have been too difficult to choose one.  The excitement on the faces of the children was awesome.  They were thrilled to be the winners of such a wonderful gift of love from someone they had never met.
