It is the time of year for special holiday dinners. It also
seemed like the perfect time for a table manners presentation.
Susan Schlicting of the Ellis County Extension Office presented
a special lesson to all of the students recently. They
discussed dos and don’ts while eating and how to sit at the
table. They also learned how to ask for food, or politely
decline foods offered to them. The presentation concluded with a
demonstration of the proper way to sit the table. Hopefully all
of the students will be showing off their newly learned table
manners over the holidays.
