4th Grade Trip to the Kraus Farm
Authors: Reagan Billinger and Joseph Whitmer

We caught up with a few 4th graders to find out what they did at the Kraus Farm. We asked RJ Whitmer and Karley Billinger some questions and got some pretty good answers.

They enjoyed planting a corn seed and playing Water Jeopardy. They enjoyed the food. They said they learned about planting wheat and how corn grows. The 4th graders also learned about farm safety. RJ wants to have a career as a farmer. They also learned about owls and how they swoop down and kill their prey. The 4th graders learned that the farm used to have a dance floor, a pool, and a diving board. They all said that they would like to go again someday. But their favorite thing about going to the Kraus Farm was going on the Nature Walk. They described it as a beautiful path full of different trees and flowers. After reading about the Kraus Farm, would you like to go?
