Local Author Comes to HFE
By Gabrielle Chittenden

Tammi Sauer, a former student of St. Joseph School, wrote 3 books called, Cowboy Camp, Mostly Monsterly, and Chicken Dance. She will have 5 more books coming out soon.

We asked her some questions like: “Have any of your books been based on your life? She said Cowboy Camp is one. We asked her if it takes a lot of time to write a book. She said, “Getting a good idea is the hardest part, but once I have an idea, it usually takes me 1 to 2 months to write a story.” Someone asked Tammi Sauer if she’s written a novel. Tammi said, “Yes, but I didn’t finish it. It is called Something to Shout. It is a teen novel with heart and humor. Some of Tammi’s secrets are: read, write, creative characters, up the tension, show, don’t tell, and the last one is to believe in yourself. If you’re like us, you would enjoy the books!

Thanks to Mrs. Collins for arranging this awesome author to burst into our school with such enthusiasm.
