Last year, the students of HFE planted a tree for cancer victims. This year, the students planted a tree for our beloved and deceased music teacher, Ms. Huser. Father Kevin started off by blessing the tree. Mrs. S. Dinkel then read a poem called “Trees.” She then read many compliments about Ms. Huser by the students and teachers.
The Dominic Savio Club will be buying some blessed candles and will be having a Mass said for her. Also, one of Ms. Huser’s favorite violinists, Shaun Demuth, performed for the students as a remembrance of Ms. Huser. Cheryl Glassman, Ms. Huser’s best friend, said a few words about Ms. Huser. It was a very touching memory of our loving music teacher, speaking of how much she loved us, and how much we loved her. After she finished speaking, Ms. Glassman sang the song “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace” for Ms. Huser. Fr. Earl, Ms. Huser’s friend and pastor, then spoke lovingly of Ms. Huser’s love of God and talent for music. He then read the poem, “Sing to the Lord a New Song.” He then started recalling many memories of his and Ms. Huser’s time together. Mrs. Staab then started speaking of her program to raise money to buy Ms. Huser a luminary at the Relay For Life. Mrs. Simon then spoke of the risers Ms. Huser always wanted, and how they purchased them and dedicated to her. Shaun Demuth then played “Amazing Grace” on his violin for Ms. Huser. This was a loving and heartfelt memory of Ms. Huser.
