CAJETAN CASH

What is Cajetan Cash?

Cajetan Cash is one of the "Big 3" fundraisers that helps support the operating budget of Holy Family Elementary. This fundraiser is run by parent volunteers through the Home & School Cajetan Cash Committee.

When does this fundraiser take place?

This fundraiser takes place in the fall, usually during the month of September. When the fundraiser is active, current information can be found on the website's News Feed, Live Feed, and on Facebook.

How do I support Holy Family Elementary via the Cajetan Cash fundraiser?

You can support HFE by purchasing one or more, $10 raffle tickets to be entered into a drawing for cash prizes.

This fundraiser is run through an online system, so no matter where you live, you can support us!

You can also support us by becoming a sponsor of the fundraiser. Money from our sponsors covers expenses first and then goes into the raffle pot. Interested in becoming a sponsor? Contact the committee via email at cajetancash@hfehays.org

How does this impact the students of Holy Family Elementary?

Funding our operating budget provides the necessary resources for our students to learn, grow, and thrive in their faith and academics.

The students also receive fun prizes for their efforts in selling the raffle tickets. They receive things such as cash, gift cards, treats, dress-down days, and movie days.

Why Cajetan?

We chose Gaetano dei Conti di Thiene, known as Saint Cajetan, as the namesake of this fundraiser because he is known as the patron Saint of good fortune!

During his life, Cajetan felt compelled to minister to the sick and poor. He established a hospital in Venice, Italy, for those suffering from incurable ailments. He joined the Oratory of Divine Love, whose purpose was to give alms to the poor. He also opened a non-profit bank that offered assistance to the poor.

His feast day is August 7th.

O glorious St. Cajetan, you studied to be a lawyer, but when you felt the Lord was calling you to his service, you abandoned everything and became a priest.
You excelled in virtues, shunning all material rewards for your labor, helping the many unemployed people of your time. Look on us with mercy at a time when many people wish to find employment so our families can live with dignity. Listen to our petitions, dear saint, you, who could easily give up the food on your table for the needy, bring our petitions to Jesus. Amen.
