Holy Family Elementary is a Pre-K through fifth-grade Catholic educational institution that serves the children of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, and churches in the surrounding area of Hays, Kansas. We are a parish school associated with Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, under the direction of the Salina Diocese. We are funded primarily by seven Heartland Parishes of Ellis County and are supplemented by student fees and fundraising.

At Holy Family Elementary, "We are Christ to One Another." We educate our students to grow in their Catholic faith by teaching them to honor God, respect others, and imitate Christ, while studying and developing their talents to glorify God. This motto is the foundation upon which we have built our success and is the running theme behind who we are and what we do. We have built a solid reputation based on God’s love, Christ’s obedience, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. We strive to educate the whole child cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually through our virtue-based practices.

Our mission is to establish a strong foundation centered on the Eucharist for the growth and formation of the entire student. We value a culture of Christ that exemplifies a life founded in faith by fostering a loving relationship with God with a sense of responsibility for our families, schools, parishes, and civic community. We value Catholic formation by recognizing God’s presence and faithfulness. We strive to cultivate holy habits that imitate Christ while prioritizing and practicing a Sacramental life that applies Biblical Truth. We value our responsibility to our community by imitating Christ in word and action through service to others. We represent truthfully. We respect authority. We give generously of time and goods. We honor the dignity and goodness of each person while giving preference to the poor and vulnerable. We value academic excellence by providing active, engaging, and experiential learning to develop strong critical and innovative thinking so that our students may fulfill their God-given potential.
