TMP-M students checked out the eclipse today at various locations on campus. It was a beautiful day, and students and staff enjoyed the time to marvel at God's creation. Thank you Mr. Nyberg and Astronomy Club for making sure everyone had appropriate glasses and caught the peak of the eclipse.

Happy Easter (it's still during the 50 days of the Easter season, so I like to say Happy Easter a long time)!
As many know, at TMP-M students are allowed the option of going to confession each Friday. We are so blessed to have a cadre of priests who make it a priority to get to TMP-M each Friday to help us do this.
Anyway, during the Lenten season and 1st week of Easter (Feb. 14-April 5), 212 confessions were heard! Accounting for some faculty and staff confessions, we conservatively estimate 70% of the student body independently chose to go to confession. And we didn't even have school on three of the Fridays during that time period.
Way to go Monarchs! You are amazingly well-rounded and thoughtful kids!

Great job to every member--I am so proud of each of you as you represented TMP-M with pride and dignity.

Today the JH competed in Hoxie at the Scholars Bowl MCEL. The 8th grade team was unstoppable taking 1st place with a record of 9-0. The 7th grade had a great day but ended with a record of 4-5. They gave it a great try. We are extremely proud of both teams. Great job Monarchs!

Due to the weather and road conditions Hays Catholic Schools will be on a 2 hr delay tomorrow (March 26). The school doors will open at 9:30 am. Be safe and God bless.

Senior Caden Becker will represent Thomas More Prep-Marian High School at the State Kansas Entrepreneurial Challenge in Manhattan on April 16th. Caden placed second at the local YEC in the Fall with his "Star Garage Aid" business plan. The first place team is an automatic qualifier for state and recently backed out of the competition. Therefore Caden will go as the winner from Ellis County. Sr.'s Caleb Marintzer and Austin Gilbert, who took 3rd place at the local YEC, have entered their business as a "wildcard". Wildcards will be selected on March 27th. If they are selected, they will also compete at state. Congratulations to Caden and good luck Caleb and Austin.

Students, it's been a while since we were in school so please make sure you remember if you had a dress code violation (DCV) the week before spring break. Check your email today to see if you need to be in regular uniform on Monday. This will help you avoid another DCV.
We're delighted to welcome students and teachers back tomorrow for a busy and exciting final 8 weeks of the school year!

Congratulations to our new squad members!
