On Tuesday, September 12th, TMP-M Junior High students spent their afternoon at a Career Fair. Thanks to the hard work of Randy & Carol Brull, many different professionals in the area came and spoke to students about various careers they are interested in pursuing. It was a very informative afternoon, and we thank all who were a part of our day!

Author Kathleen Wilford stopped by to share her experiences as an author with some of our junior high students. Wilford is the author of Cabby Potts, Duchess of Dirt, which takes place in Kansas. Her book was recently named a Kansas Notable Book. The students enjoyed hearing about her characters, how she goes about the writing process, and also what life is like as an author.

After some practice time, the Junior High Monarch Music students ministered at JH mass this morning under the direction of High School student leaders Allison Weber and Adrian Normandin. We say a special thank you to Carol Brull for being part of our group and volunteering her piano talents.

Mr. Befort, YOU ARE AWESOME!! Thank you for everything you do at TMP-Marian!

TMP High School Student Council executives and class officers traveled to New Mexico this weekend to explore downtown Santa Fe. While there, they visited San Miguel's Chapel, Our Lady of Guadeloupe, the winding staircase of the Loretto Chapel, attended mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, and did some shopping at the colorful shops downtown!

City Commissioner and TMP Advancement Director, Mason Ruder '10, was a guest speaker in the 6th grade Personal Finance class today. The students have been learning about making and keeping a budget, and Mr. Ruder spoke about the budget of the city of Hays. There were many thought-filled, perceptive questions about his talk with us. We are thankful for our strong city leaders and pray for their continued success.

On September 1st, Bishop Vincke celebrated mass with the TMP-M students. Our second "All-School mass" incorporated all of our Monarch Music students, totaling more than 50 students in Junior High and High School.

Every Friday, TMP-Marian students participate in Adoration through their Religion classes. During their time there, optional Confessions are available. The average is between 30-35 Confessions a week.
This past Friday, 65 Confessions were heard!
We very much appreciate the priests for their ministry. We also thank our priests, religious, and lay teachers who educate and inspire students to partake in the graces offered at the Sacrament of Confession.

It takes all of us to spread awareness on the dangers of fentanyl. This week over 100 different organizations across Kansas joined efforts to ensure we are protecting our youth and state. #OnePillCanKIll

Parent Open House is Tonight
TMP-Marian parents of current students are invited to the open house at 6:30 p.m. Important information will be shared for about 20 minutes in the Dreiling Theater before parents are dismissed to follow their child's class schedule and meet their teachers. Parents' "school day" will end at 7:51 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Over 1,200 Kansans have tragically died of fentanyl poisoning, and the problem is only getting worse. Fake prescription pills are easy to get and are being sold to our youth at an alarming rate.
It is time communities, parents, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, and policymakers come together to advocate for action and decrease the number of fentanyl-related poisonings in Kansas.
