At this meeting, Mrs. Wentling will go over important housekeeping items that are important to know when starting off the school year. You do not want to miss this meeting! Parents...It's ENROLLMENT DAY and we can't wait to see you! Members of our faculty and staff are here, waiting to get you all set up for the new school year! We will be here between 7:30 and 2:00, in the Little Theater! Don't forget to fill out your paperwork ahead of time and bring it with you!
New to HFE or just want more information on what to expect from our enrollment process? Here is what you can expect to see tomorrow!
Enter through the back west Little Theater/cafeteria doors. As you come in, you'll notice tables set up in a large circle across the cafeteria, you will enter and exit through the same doors.
At the first table, you'll give your child's name and receive your family enrollment folder! Each folder includes a family receipt which lists your child's name and their new homeroom. You will carry this with you table to table as you rotate.
**GREAT TIP -- many parents take the colorful flyers OUT of the folder and stick their child's paperwork inside the folder, as the school KEEPS and reuses these folders each year!
The second table will be for picking up your family's yearbook from the previous year, ordering cookie coupons (if your child takes the a la carte cookies, available grades 4th-6th), and grabbing the August menu if you'd like to take one home!
Next, there is a Home & School table, and an HFE Bucks table. Home & School will have a list of the meeting dates that our parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend! There is generally Holy Family gear available for sale, and sometimes parent t-shirts available to purchase. The HFE Bucks table will be selling gift cards! Purchase gift cards to earn money back on your child's enrollment fees for next year! They will also be able to tell you how much $$ you earned off of your enrollment fees this year.
Our I.T. Director, Mr. Duff Watson, will have the next table -- ALL new parents should stop by to get their fingerprint scanned into his system, so that you will be able to open the North school doors with your fingerprint! The school is locked at all times, but the fingerprint system is what allows parents in and out during the day. You will only have to do this ONE time! Current parents, if you've had difficulty getting your fingerprint to work, stop by and re-scan yours! This is your chance!!
Next up is the T-Shirt Table -- Spirit Shirts and Preschool tops are all ordered here! We have samples of each style and size hung up on a rack that you can look at. You'll place your shirt orders and receive a receipt, but shirts will be paid for at the final payment tables. Spirit shirts typically get delivered to the school the first week of school -- they are not always ready for the first Wednesday's Spirit Day, but we will send them home with the youngest students in each family when they've arrived! Shirt orders will all be turned in to Gone Logo on the 5th -- so we need orders immediately!
Next up is the Safety Table -- if you have signed up to help on particular committees or plan to help drive for field trips, you will be given more information about our school's Safe Environment Training. We will also have new information to hand out regarding our brand new school app!
Next is the After School Care table. If your child will ever need to attend After School Care, which is open until 6:00pm and available to students in Afternoon Preschool up through 6th grade, you will need to stop here to register, turn in your form and pick up the ASC handbook!
Finally, we end enrollment with two payment tables! The first payment table will be the office staff working, and if you are needing to set up a payment plan for your school fees, or if you're a tuition family (Non-Catholic), you must stop at this first payment table! This table can also help parents who wish to pay in full. The second payment table is only for parents who wish to pay in full. You will hand in the school's folder with your completed student paperwork at these tables, and take home the colorful flyers to keep. You'll be given a receipt for your payment as we tally up your total amounts. If you applied for fee assistance in the summer, or purchased HFE Bucks through the year, those totals will be removed and reflected on your total already when you arrive!
**GREAT TIP -- the class lists will be hanging up around the Little Theater/Cafeteria! Be sure to take a photo of the list to share with your student!
There will be one final stop on your way out the doors to pick up your Hays Catholic Schools yard sign if you ordered! We hope it will be a smooth process for our new parents.

4A students got to enjoy a fun day of board games, card games. and camaraderie the last week of the school year!
The faculty & staff of Holy Family got to have a little end-of-year fun by celebrating a staff chili supper ‘Feed the Pig’ prize. "Decades & Donuts Day" included donuts from Principal Wentling, and wearing attire from any decade we wanted. Staff had fun with this, and the students got a kick out of it!
